If you've been wanting to join a pottery class but have been putting it off, now is the time to jump in. We have this young master maker: Josephine Mette Larsen teaching for what may be her last session with us. Josephine is a Danish-American ceramic artist. She's currently in the final months of her 3 - year residency at The Clay Studio in Philadelphia and will likely leave the area this Summer for her next great adventure.

She is teaching 10-week classes on Tuesdays that begin the final week of March. There's a morning iteration from 10:30-1:30 and an afternoon one from 2:30-5:30. This course demystifies the process of hand building, guiding you through various methods tailored to help you capture specific forms and details whether they're functional pots or non-functional vessels. She's also teaching a 1-day pinched bowl workshop on April 13th and a 2-day covered jar workshop on April 5-6.

Josephine has a solo show open through the end of this month (March, 2025) to cap her 3-year residency at The Clay Studio. You can view it HERE.

We've all heard the phrase: "Don't postpone joy." It's good advise, wouldn't you agree? Members of our studio speak often of what a difference it has made in their lives to have a safe space to come create. A place where people are warm and supportive of one another. If that sounds appealing to you, I invite you to COME PLAY!
