
The Lisa Naples Clay Studio, nestled in the heart of Frenchtown, NJ, is a thriving creative hub led by renowned ceramic artist and educator, Lisa Naples.

Located at 34 Bridge St., our studio offers an array of 7-week classes, intensive workshops (1, 2, 3 or 4-day events), and an open studio program. Instruction covers topics including: sculptural vessels, hand-built functional pottery, animal figures, surface treatments and more. At Lisa Naples Clay Studio, we’re dedicated to nurturing creativity, building skills and fostering community for adults of all ages.

Whatever your life story, national origin, race or religion; whatever your sexual orientation or gender identity, whatever your background in clay (including 'none' or 'lots')... you are welcome here. Here, we have created a warm, nurturing, safe haven in which to learn and connect with others. Our expert faculty draws people from as far as 90 minutes away for weekly classes and brings them in Nationally and Internationally for our workshops.

A Recent Interview with Lisa Naples
After many years as a functional potter Lisa Naples has embraced figurative and nonobjective sculpture. In our interview we discuss how she anthropomorphizes animals to show shifting relationships and identities, as well as the use of gold as a way to embody the divine in her recent exhibition Grounded in Gold. The exhibition was on display this fall at the Michener Art Museum in Doylestown, PA

Multi-Week / 3hrs per week
Classes are held at Lisa Naples Clay Studio in Frenchtown, NJ. A “Class” is defined as a series of consecutive weeks where participants come once a week. Unlimited Open Studio access is included with class fees. Lisa offers adult classes in (handbuilding) pottery as well as animal sculpture for all skill levels (including beginners). Additionally, There are ceramic classes taught by visiting artists. The atmosphere is warm and encourages each student to explore their creativity, while giving them the tools to progress and expand their skill set.
1-5 days / Full Day Instruction
Workshops are held at Lisa Naples Clay Studio in Frenchtown, NJ. A “Workshop” is defined as a day-long or multi-day event (e.g. Saturday and Sunday or two consecutive Fridays). The adult workshops in clay are taught by Lisa as well as by a variety of highly skilled and talented visiting artists.
Live & A-La-Carte
Lisa Naples' online clay workshops offer in-depth exploration of ceramic techniques. Guiding students through handbuilding and slab rolling, she shares insights into creating unique shapes and adding texture. Her courses highlight ceramics as a storytelling medium and cater to all skill levels, making them an enriching experience for anyone interested in pottery.
