Course Description
This 6-week course will focus on surface treatments in particular. Micah will guide students in hand-building vessel forms conducive to a variety of surface treatments. The course will explore a wide approach to surface: repeated patterns, textures, stencils, water etching, monoprints, and precise pattern mapping. By the end of the 6 weeks, students will complete at least two patterned vessel projects and multiple surface test pieces, leaving with the skills to plan and execute repeated patterns within their own work. This course is open to all skill levels. Beginners Welcome! We’ll take Thanksgiving week off and resume classes the following week to finish the session. Cost for the 6-week class is $450 which includes all firings and materials with the exception of clay. Clay is sold in 12.5 lb blocks for $15/block. Class registration includes 24/7 access for Open Studio outside of other class/workshop times.

CLASS CANCELLATION: • Full refund if > 2 weeks before start date; half refund 7-14 days before; non-refundable < 7 days before start date. • Lisa Naples reserves the right to cancel a class at any point if registration falls below 6 participants. In this case, you will be fully refunded. MISSED CLASSES: • No makeup for missed classes.
