Course Description
In this course, Micah will walk through rigid slab building techniques intended for geometric structures. The class will focus on slab building with stiffer clay to encourage students to work with the material beyond its initial malleable state. Micah will introduce this handbuilding technique through smaller projects and will finish the course with a miniature house project. This class is open to all skill levels. Students will be supported in making a miniature model of their home or of a dream home. The slab-built house you create can be from your memory, imagination, or history - the possibilities are endless. From birdhouses, fairy homes, historical recreations, and architectural models, students will learn the skills necessary to recreate (miniature) livable structures in clay. Class fee includes unlimited Open Studio access (outside of scheduled classes). It also includes all other materials and tools other than Clay which can be purchased for $15/12.5 lbs.

CLASS CANCELLATION: • Full refund if > 2 weeks before start date; half refund 7-14 days before; non-refundable < 7 days before start date. • Lisa Naples reserves the right to cancel a class at any point if registration falls below 6 participants. In this case, you will be fully refunded. MISSED CLASSES: • No makeup for missed classes.
