Course Description
We’ll dive into animal design by breaking forms down into clear, dynamic shapes—first through fast sketches, then with small studies (maquettes). You’ll build several animals throughout the day, with a focus on gesture and how that drives attitude and storytelling. By the end, you’ll have a lineup of animals ready to fire. Treat yourself to one day of spacious practice! Workshop fee of $215 includes all materials and firings. You will be notified when your piece is through the kilns and ready for pick up. Shipping (at cost) can be arranged if you don’t live in the area. Beginners are WELCOME!

WORKSHOP CANCELLATION (different cancelation policy due to the nature of students traveling distances) • Cancelations that take place greater than 1 month prior to a start date are fully refundable (minus a $100 admin fee). Those that come in 2-4 weeks ahead of a start-date are refunded by half. Those that come in w/in 2 weeks of a start date are non-refundable with the following exceptions: illness, accident, death in family. Registrants who fall into one of these noted categories are given a credit for a future workshop of the same or greater number of days.
