2-Day Workshop: Miniature Clay Homes

Course Description
In this two-day workshop, Micah will introduce the art of building unique miniature homes using stiff slab-building techniques, demonstrating how to push clay beyond its soft, malleable state. No prior clay experience is necessary. Participants will create a miniature structure inspired by memory, imagination, or history—from birdhouses and fairy homes to architectural models, dream houses, or entirely original designs. On day one, Micah will demonstrate foundational slab-building techniques before participants build the main structure of their piece. Day two will focus on refining details, adding surface texture, and using underglaze to bring each miniature home to life. All finished pieces will be bisque fired, then glazed by Micah for a final glaze firing. Students will be notified when they're ready for pick up within the following 3 weeks. ALL Payments Must Be Received Within ONE WEEK of booking. IMPORTANT: If payment is not made within 1 week of booking, then your reserved seat will be forfeited. CLASS CANCELLATION: • Full refund if > 2 weeks before start date; half refund 7-14 days before; non-refundable < 7 days before start date. • Lisa Naples reserves the right to cancel a class at any point if registration falls below 6 participants. In this case, you will be fully refunded. MISSED CLASSES: • No makeup for missed classes.
